Welcome

The children are settling well and we hope you are getting to know the staff team and other families. If  you have anything at all that you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to come and chat with us. You can talk to someone in your child’s room, including their Key Person as you drop off and collect or you can also come and see one of the managers in the office.

This month the children have been focusing on all things Autumn! From sensory play to autumnal woodland walks, and from buying seasonal fruits and vegetables to have for snack, the children have enjoyed exploring the changes in the season indoors and out.

Children in Need fundraising

Get ready for a day of fun and fundraising! We're teaming up to support a well-known Children's charity, and we want everyone to
join in on the excitement.

We encourage our incredible staff and adorable little ones to show up in style—whether that's rocking cosy pyjamas, channelling their inner Pudsey, flaunting vibrant yellows, or donning spotty ensembles. Let's make our nursery a burst of colour and creativity on Thursday 16th November. But that's not all. Our budding bakers will be hard at work, whipping up batches of scrumptious biscuits and cupcakes throughout the day. Get
ready for a treat! These delectable delights will be showcased in our reception area, where our dedicated staff will be on hand to sell them. Every penny raised will go straight to the Children's charity, supporting their incredible work. On Friday 17th November we will continue to explore many different activities with various arts and crafts and have plenty of fun! Your participation and generosity will shine a light of hope for children in need.

December, Festive Fun

The holiday season is upon us, and we've got a sleigh full of festive activities lined up for our little stars at Banana Moon Nursery! Mark your calendars with these important dates to ensure you don't miss out on the merriment. More information will follow.

Monday, 4th December - Parents Meetings: A chance to discuss your child's development and celebrate their unique milestones. Let's share the joy of their growth journey together. Appointment slots will open up nearer the time.

Thursday, 7th December - Christmas Jumper Day: Join the festive spirit by donning your most fabulous Christmas jumpers. Staff and children alike are invited to showcase their holiday cheer!

Tuesday, 12th December – Full Moons Christmas Productions: Watch in awe as our pre-schoolers take the stage in heart-warming Christmas production. Prepare for a dose of adorable holiday magic!

Wednesday, 13th December - Christmas Lunch at the Nursery: A special feast awaits our little ones and dedicated staff. Let's savour the flavours of the season together!

Thursday, 14th December - Mini Moons Christmas Stay and Play: Calling all parents and carers! Dive into festive arts, crafts, and messy play activities with your little ones. It's a hands-on celebration of creativity!

Tuesday, 19th December - Children's Christmas Party: The highlight of our festive calendar! Santa himself will be paying a special visit to spread joy and hand out some delightful books. Don't miss this magical moment!

Wednesday, 20th December - Stay and Play Christmas Activities: Parents, brace yourselves for a day of joyous activities in our Babies and Teenies Moons room. Come and join the fun—it's going to be a holly, jolly time!

Winter Wardrobe

As the winter chill sets in, we want to ensure our little adventurers stay warm and cosy during our outdoor experiences. Please make sure your child is equipped with extra warm clothing for the winter months. Whether it's rain, snow, or sunshine, we'll be exploring the great outdoors, and we want your child to be prepared for all weather types. Kindly send your child in with labelled hat, scarf, and gloves to keep them snug and ready for the chilly days ahead.
